"Chewy, thick, and rich with good acidity in addition to outstanding depth and texture, the 2007 is slightly superior to the 2006 Lirac Clos de Sixte. The latter wine, made from a similar blend, is more tannic and rustic, but still outstanding. It reveals a style similar to its 2007 counterpart. Both vintages should evolve nicely for 5-7 years. One of the finest properties in Chateauneuf du Pape, Grand Veneur's estate wines have been performing at a brilliant level, and their negociant line, bottled under the name Alain Jaume, is also impressive." 90 points Robert Parker.
